AMA receives funding to boost digital development in heritage organisations

The Arts Marketing Association (AMA) is excited to announce that we’re among the successful organisations awarded further funding by The National Lottery Heritage Fund’s Digital Skills for Heritage initiative, and we’re incredibly grateful and humbled to be able to continue to help raise digital skills and confidence across the UK heritage sector.

This funding award allows us to deliver, research and answer the heritage sector’s 100 most pressing and frequently asked digital questions’ and will be supported by our project partners: Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy and One Further. We’ll also be working together with teams led by The Heritage Alliance and the University of Leeds to answer these questions by providing a range of free online learning resources aimed at small and medium-sized UK heritage organisations. These will cover topics including digital engagement, sharing content, business models, recovery planning and digital leadership, with content going live from June.

Answering the Sector’s Digital Questions is one of 12 grants announced and awarded to address three distinct areas; driving digital innovation and enterprise, providing answers to organisations’ most pressing concerns, and empowering collaborative work to achieve common aims.

This project allows us to continue the ongoing work of the Digital Heritage Lab: a free digital skills programme for small to medium heritage organisations, which is also funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Since the start of Digital Heritage Lab in April 2020, we’ve engaged those working and volunteering for over 700 small to medium-sized heritage organisations across the UK with digital skills training and mentoring.
