Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our services.
Terms & Conditions for AMA Conference are listed separately and updated each year for each Conference.
Membership Terms and Conditions
- Please ensure this invoice is passed to your finance team. If a PO number needs to be added, please contact: info@a-m-a.co.uk
- Payment is required within 30 days of the date of invoice, unless stated otherwise.

b) You can click on the link on your invoice to pay directly using a credit / debit card.
c) Please note we no longer accept payment via cheque. - Your membership will be activated on the date of invoicing as a gesture of good faith. However, in the unlikely event your invoice remains unpaid after 30 days, we reserve the right to suspend your membership benefits until the invoice is paid.
- Members will receive a 100% refund of monies paid or a credit note (as applicable) if the AMA receives notification of membership cancellation up to 14 days from the date of invoice. No refund or credit note will be issued for cancellations received after the 14 day notice period.
- Your membership will be valid for one year and will need to be renewed annually.
- As an AMA member, you may be contacted by the AMA to get feedback on your membership experience.
- For information on how we use and protect any personal information that you give to us, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Individual Membership
- Early, mid, and senior career stage memberships only cover the named individual(s) from your organisation to attend AMA events at the member rate.
- Early, mid, and senior career stage memberships cannot be transferred between colleagues mid-membership, unless the named member leaves the organisation or takes parental leave.
- Freelance membership is only applicable for individuals who are freelancing independently as their main source of income.
- Between Jobs membership is only applicable for individuals who are unemployed or have been given notice of redundancy at the time of sale.
Team Membership
- Small Organisation membership and Small Service Provider membership are for organisations which meet both of the following criteria: fewer than 10 individuals and a turnover of less than £632k / £316,000 or less on its balance sheet (a.k.a. what HMRC calls a ‘micro-entity’).
Event Terms and Conditions

c) Please note we no longer accept payment via cheque. - In the unlikely event that your invoice remains unpaid after 30 days, we reserve the right to cancel your event booking. We will notify you if we intend to take this course of action.
- Delegates will receive a 100% refund or a credit note (as applicable) if the AMA receives written notification of cancellation of the booking at least 14 days before the event takes place.
- Delegates will receive a 50% refund or credit note (as applicable) if the AMA office receives notification of cancellation at least 7 days before the event takes place.
- No refund or credit note will be issued for cancellations received within 6 days of the date of the event.
- The event booking may be transferred to another person within the same organisation at any point, but must be done so at the relevant rate. i.e. a booking made at the member rate cannot be transferred to a non-member without them either joining the AMA or receiving an additional invoice for the difference between the two rates. For any bookings made at the member rate, the delegate must also be a member at the time of attending the event.
- The AMA may publish or share a delegate list featuring names, job titles, and organisation names of all attendees prior to larger events to help with networking. Please get in touch if you don’t wish to appear on any of the delegate lists for a specific event.
- The AMA will make every effort to deliver the programme and timetable for the event as described but reserves the right to make any necessary changes and will notify delegates accordingly.
Residential programmes and intensive courses
Our standard terms apply, with the exception of the following:
- Participants will receive a refund of monies paid or a credit note (as applicable) if the AMA receives notification of cancellation at least 60 days before the event takes place.
- Participants will receive a 50% refund of monies paid, or credit note (as applicable) if the AMA receives notification of cancellation at least 30 days before the event takes place.
- Participants will not receive a refund or credit note (as applicable) for cancellations within 30 days of the event taking place.
- The AMA will consider on a case-by-case basis transferring participant’s places to another person if they are at the appropriate level for the programme. This can only be considered if the AMA is notified at least 14 days in advance of the programme taking place.
- The AMA will make every effort to deliver the programme and timetable as described for the event but reserves the right to make any necessary changes and will notify delegates accordingly.
Online training
- It is the delegate’s responsibility to ensure they have the necessary technical resources to participate fully in the online training. Please check the details on the following link to make sure you’re ready and able to take part: www.a-m-a.co.uk/faqs/online-workshop-checklist/
- In the unlikely case that the online training session is cancelled by the AMA, paying delegates will be offered a 100% refund or credit note (as applicable).
- The AMA takes no responsibility for technical failure caused by faulty or inadequate equipment provided by the delegate or delegate user error.
Website Terms and Conditions
- In these Terms and Conditions, references to “AMA”, “us” or “our(s)” are references to the Arts Marketing Association. The company details of the AMA can be found at the end of these Terms and Conditions.
- References to “you” or “your” are references to you, the user of the Website.
- References to “the Website” are references to the Website at http://www.a-m-a.co.uk.
- References to “User Content” are references to any user generated content posted, attached or added to the Website including but not limited to any commentary, emails, information, screenshots, photographs, pictures, videos, text, artwork and any user-generated material posted to the AMA blog .
- References to “AMA blog” are references to the blog accessible through the Website called the AMA Blog.
- References to “Intellectual Property Rights” are references to any copyright, trade marks, design rights or other intellectual property rights existing from time to time.
- Your use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions.
- The AMA reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions without notice. It is your responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions regularly. Your continued use of this Website after amendments are made means you accept the Terms and Conditions as updated.
- Except as permitted in these Terms and Conditions, you may not alter the Website in any way or do anything that might or will damage or disrupt the good working order of the Website or our equipment or software.
Online purchases
- No contract will exist between you and the AMA for the purchase of any product or service through the Website, until you have received written confirmation from the AMA (usually by e-mail).
- The AMA does not hold any credit / debit card data. All credit / debit card sales made online are passed through Stripe to enable maximum security of your details. All transactions are encrypted using 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) architecture (dependent on browser support), and are signed using Thawte digital certificates.
- You will need to agree to separate sale terms and conditions before you make any purchase of products or services through the Website.
Your information, usernames and passwords
- You agree to only provide current, complete and accurate information to AMA when you use the Website (including if you sign up as a member or contribute User Content to the Website).
- You agree to keep secret any password you use in relation to the Website and not let any other person or organisation use it. You agree to notify us immediately of any suspected misuse of your password and/or username.
Copyright – Website
- All proprietary rights and Intellectual Property Rights in the Website, including all design, text and graphics, as well as the underlying source code and any User Content is owned by AMA or third parties.
- The AMA permits you to copy and to print in hard copy sections of this Website but only to the extent that is necessary for the purpose of placing an order with the AMA and/or using the site as a personal professional development resource. If AMA contacts you and requests you stop using any sections of the Website for any reason(s), you agree to do so immediately.
- Except as permitted by these Terms and Conditions, other use of materials on this Website, including reproduction for purposes other than those noted above, modification, distribution, or republication of User Content is strictly prohibited, without the prior written permission of AMA.

- You must not post or upload any User Content or use the Website in a way that breaches any law.
- You must not post or upload any User Content or use the Website in a way that is offensive, discriminatory, threatening, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, harassing, false, misleading or unreliable, or that brings or is likely to bring the Website or the AMA into disrepute.
- You agree to not contribute User Content that will infringe another user’s, organisation’s or person’s rights (including rights of privacy or publicity).
- The AMA moderates no User Content posted to the Website. The AMA accepts no responsibility for any User Content, but reserves the right to remove/edit any User Content at any time.
- Please let us know immediately by contacting us at info@a-m-a.co.uk if any of these rules are broken by you or other users, or if you have any concerns about material posted to the Website.
- Using your access to the Website to send unsolicited bulk email or spam, or sell or buy any goods or services for any business purpose, is forbidden, unless the Website or AMA gives you permission to do so.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership and/or access to the Website immediately at any time.
- We reserve the right to edit, or require you to edit, User Content posted to the Website at any time.
- Any User Content you post to the Website may be used by the AMA for any purpose subject to our Privacy Policy.
- If your use of the Website, uploading of User Content or breach of these Terms and Conditions creates losses for AMA, you will compensate AMA for all its losses (including direct and indirect losses, and all costs and damages).
- If your access to the Website is terminated or suspended for any reason, you must not access the Website or join to become a member of AMA without our prior written consent.
