AMAculturehive is funded by Arts Council England, and includes the AMAculturehive website and wholly-funded or subsidised events/training that helps share best practice and shape thinking across the sector.
Resources
AMAculturehive, powered by the AMA – an online hive-mind full of free content that empowers the cultural sector to be more skilled, resilient and diverse. It helps and connects people who work in or with organisations that engage audiences with culture.
Established in 2013 as “Culturehive”, it was originally funded as part of Arts Council England’s Audience focus initiative, and concentrated on cultural marketing. Today it includes leadership, marketing, fundraising and audience development and engagement resources.
AMAculturehive seeks to platform new and established voices from across the sector. It highlights the latest thinking and case studies, as well as current and future challenges.
It shares how organisations and individuals are rising to the occasion, as well as what can be learned where things may not have gone so well.
Whether you are looking for quick-read blogs, podcasts and articles or case studies, guides and templates and toolkits, AMAculturehive is here to support you in your lifelong learning journey.
The CultureHive resource remains an essential source of information for me and my team.

Events
AMAculturehive funding helps make transformative programmes like the Small Scale Development Programme affordable. Training and development that would cost many thousands of pounds can be brought into reach for organisations that will benefit most.
Other events which are or have been supported by AMAculturehive include:
- Inclusivity & Audiences Day
- Audience Diversity Academy
- Digital Lab
- Breakthrough: transforming into an inclusive organisation
- Show Up: to develop leadership
- Heads Up: to develop audiences
The course was thorough, relevant throughout and above all easily applied in the real world… I have already recommended it to several of my peers.
