AMA chosen to deliver 14-18 Now conference

The AMA is excited to announce that it has been chosen to organise a one-day conference to celebrate the brilliant work of 14-18 NOW — the official programme that took place across the UK to mark the centenary of the First World War.

To recognise 14-18 NOW’s impact and learnings across the UK and beyond, the AMA will be organising an event this April, which will consider future thinking inspired by 14-18 NOW, and reflect on this innovative commissioning programme that has pioneered a new way of marking national moments through the arts.

14-18 NOW — a five year programme of large-scale contemporary arts events — set a new benchmark for the arts and heritage sectors in commemorating national moments both in the UK and internationally.

The AMA will gather artists and policy makers to explore what can be learned from 14-18 NOW as well as celebrating its uniqueness, the artists involved and the impact it’s had on participants and audiences.
