Hello, I’m HBL (pronounced aitch-bee-elle).
My mission as a PR is to work closely with artists, companies and venues to amplify what you have to say, and grow your platform to be heard.
I have over ten years of experience in arts communications, including agency and in-house (King’s Head Theatre, BAC, Barbican Centre) across contemporary dance, theatre, festivals, opera, circus, escape room games, capital projects, immersive experiences, national tours, international premieres, the West End….and the thrilling encounters that exist beyond or between genres.

I also work solo with small-scale projects, or those new to working with PR. I provide support on areas including:
– Tailored media strategies and campaign planning
– Writing press releases
– Pitching for editorial coverage in targeted media that builds awareness, sets the agenda, amplifies your voice, expands your storytelling (and yes, promotes sales for your project too)
– Supporting artists with briefing and media training
– Managing press nights (engaging with critics, content creators and influential journalists and welcoming guests on the night)
– Arranging a range of photography and filming opportunities (media calls, production photography, promotional shoots)
– Advocating for your interests while working collaboratively with a range of fellow PR, marketing, producing, administrative, operational, technical and creative teams
