Support + Resources: Equality Act Ruling

Following the recent UK Supreme Court ruling and ongoing conversations around sex and gender, it’s important to us to reiterate to all of you, our members, that we’re committed to making the Arts Marketing Association an inclusive, kind and welcoming community.

At the AMA, our priority is you, our members. To our trans and non-binary members, we want you to know that the AMA is here for you, and a safe space for you.

‘We are Inclusive’ and ‘We are Human’ are two of the AMA’s three main values. We work hard to live these values from the delegate experience at our events, to how we work with our members and our board, to educating our staff team, and to creating safe spaces to better represent members like our Affinity Groups.

Given our values, it’s important to us to be able to support our community to be informed and equipped for allyship. With this in mind, we’ve picked out a few resources and examples of how the sector is responding.

This list will be updated with more links as we spot them.

We want to make sure we’re representing all our community. It’s a big part of the AMA we are now, and the supportive community we wish to create for you all.
