I’ve been in the arts my whole working life – initially, as an award-winning journalist and editor at The List magazine, before jumping the fence to do communications for Edinburgh International Festival, and currently, finding novel ways to share Scotland’s art collection with the world at the National Galleries of Scotland. I recently joined the board of my local live music and theatre venue, MacArts in the Scottish Borders.
The AMA has been invaluable as a space for me to pause, reflect and learn. It has been a source of reassurance and guidance. My aim is to share those positive feelings and continue this camaraderie among those navigating the arts alongside me.
Outside of work, it’s mostly loud music, shouting at sports on television and keeping up with my two teenagers.
