I have worked in the Arts as a freelancer for nearly twenty years with a host of companies: Fuel, English National Ballet, The Unicorn Theatre, Polka Theatre, Sadler’s Wells, BalletLORENT, BalletBoyz, Richard Alston Dance Company and Applause. Some of my early childhood memories are of seeing Eastern Angles touring to my local Church Hall, and I have sought out projects which encourage wider participation in the Arts. One of career highlights was Fuel’s New Theatre in your Neighbourhood project which worked with 6 venues across the UK to embed the principles of Local Engagement Specialists. Innovative audience development projects and efforts to democratise the arts inspire me.

The AMA has been a great source of help and inspiration, providing me with a chance to engage in the wider professional community. I am excited to work with the AMA encouraging ideas sharing and positive connections within our industry.

Outside of work I love (in no particular order): my kids, yoga, kickboxing, running, chocolate and cabaret! The last thing I attended in person was a socially distant performance of the National Youth Dance Company at Sadler’s Wells, and digitally a live screening of Instagramming the Apocalypse.
