Zoë’s career in arts fundraising started straight after university almost a decade ago as a Development Assistant at London’s Wigmore Hall. Over 5 years (during which time she became the Friends Manager), Zoë worked across all major areas of fundraising, with a primary focus on individual giving campaigns such as the Arts Council Catalyst Endowment scheme, as well as the launch of an Annual Fund and a Legacy Giving programme.

After two years as Individual Giving Manager at The Old Vic theatre, in 2016 Zoë made the move out of London back to her home town of Leeds to lead Northern Ballet’s Individual and Corporate fundraising. As Head of Development, she is responsible for managing the award-winning partnership with the company’s National Tour Sponsor first direct bank, alongside developing and delivering strategy to promote significant growth in corporate sponsorship and high net worth giving.

Always looking for exciting and innovative ways to generate funds, for Zoë the beauty of working as a fundraiser in the arts is being surrounded by creativity every day, whilst having the opportunity to channel this creativity into the work behind the scenes. You might have seen Northern Ballet’s touring lorries travelling up and down the country, with beautiful joint branding thanks to National Tour Sponsor first direct bank – a definite career highlight so far.
