Mel Larsen (formerly Mel Jennings) has worked in the arts across the UK and abroad for over 20 years.
Her adventures have included being Administrator for pioneering touring company Black Mime Theatre, Marketing Officer for Talawa Theatre Company and full-time consultant with A.R.T.S. As an independent marketing consultant since 1999 her clients have included Arts Council England, Australian Arts Council, CARIFORUM, The British Council, StillArt Sweden and MLA London. Her training, speaking and consultancy work has taken her to many different parts of the world including, Russia, South Africa, the Caribbean, Scandinavia and the Netherlands.
She is author of A Practical Guide to working with Arts Ambassadors published by Arts Council England. She also founded the community-led Streatham Festival and was Artistic Director for five years (2002-2006, for which she received a Lambeth Civic Award) and was Director of the first Streatham Food Festival in 2009.
Mel also has a BA Hons in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
