Kitty Wright has worked in journalism, publishing, arts management and policy development in Australia and the UK for nearly 40 years. During that time she has held senior positions in government arts funding agencies in Australia (WA Dept for the Arts) and the UK (Arts Council England). She has worked for organisations in the cultural sector in a number of capacities and has been a trustee and board member — currently on the board of two Arts Council NPOs — supporting and advising on successful fundraising campaigns.
As Executive Director of the Brontë Society, Kitty is developing the organisation’s fundraising capacity in order to realise the opportunities presented by Brontë 200, the 5-year festival of the bicentenaries of the Brontë family. In this, she is utilising her experience in leadership, relationship management, marketing, sponsorship, advocacy and the principles of fundraising.
