Growing up in a rural Somerset village with a vibrant community arts scene, I have always had a deep appreciation for the power of professional led community music making and making music accessible to all.

I have worked in the classical music industry for over 25 years and held a variety of roles throughout my career including time at Faber Music as librarian and later as Education Manager for the London-based Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia 21. During this time, I created and managed programmes in collaboration with partners such as Imperial College, the Royal College of Music, CandoCo, Music for Life, and the Sonic Arts Networks across the Southeast.

After taking a career break to raise three children and run several voluntary community projects, I co-founded Ensemble Reza over ten years ago, a professional string ensemble based in West Sussex.

As Managing Director, I’ve had the privilege to play a key role in establishing and growing the charity, which now annually delivers over 60 concerts, works in over 40 schools, and supports several community programmes, including a community orchestra with over 80 members of all ages and abilities.

Marketing is fundamental to every part of my daily work and being a member of the Arts Marketing Association has been an invaluable support over the last six years.

I am thrilled to be joining the Connectors team, bringing professional music leaders together to share and learn from each other, discussing both the highs and lows of the music industry!

… and when I’m not running around managing a charity …. I love spending time with my family, cooking tasty meals, making music, playing games and nothing beats an early morning dog walk in the beautiful Sussex countryside.
