Press and PR Manager — London Philharmonic Orchestra
We are open to exploring different approaches to this role (full-time/part-time/freelance/consultancy-based depending on the individual’s situation).
Salary: £27,000-£32,000 for the full-time in house vacancy
The postholder will be a part of the Orchestra’s busy Marketing Department, but work on behalf of the entire organisation, with a remit to raise the profile and reputation of the LPO, its players and its artists within the global orchestral landscape, and to help us in our mission ‘to bring wonder to the modern world through the power of orchestral music’.
Working with the Marketing Director, the postholder will lead on media relations, identifying and communicate key messaging around concert activity, Education and Community work, advocacy, and wider stakeholder engagement. They will liaise with other special project agencies that may be brought in during the season for specific PR campaigns where we have identified additional storytelling opportunities to connect with broader audiences.
The postholder will seek to promote the Orchestra’s work both to regular consumers of orchestral music, supporting its marketing activity objectives in relation to ticket sales and online audiences, and also its efforts to engage with new and diverse audiences, wherever they may be.
