Audience Development Consultancy — Museum of Cambridge
The Museum of Cambridge wishes to commission an audience development study to provide a better understanding of our current and potential audiences, alongside the barriers and motivations for visiting the Museum, that will help inform the development of and realisation of a new Museum of Cambridge, planned for 2022-24.
This consultancy forms part of our Museum of Cambridge – Museum Making programme, funded by the NLHF forms the second part of our development strategy. The consultant/s will be required to work closely Museum staff, trustees and volunteers and other consultants working on the project. The consultant/s will report to the Development Manager.
The Museum currently attracts around 11,000 visitors annually, both Cambridge residents and visitors to the city. We also have a strong tradition of community engagement, driven by current and previous projects, notably Capturing Cambridge. Like many in the heritage sector, the Museum of Cambridge has been significantly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, and this project is central to our plans for recovery and revival.
Deadline for submission of proposals: Monday 8 March, 23.59
