Bursaries help open our events to as wide an audience as possible.

Thanks to support from organisations across the arts and cultural sector there are 18 bursaries available that cover the full cost of Inclusivity and Audiences Day 2022.

Arts Council of Wales Bursaries

Arts Council of Wales will provide 10 bursaries that are available to freelancers and those working for organisations across the cultural sector.    

All applicants must be working in Wales and meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Individual from a diverse background (including, but not limited to, the 9 protected characteristics identified by the Equality Act 2010 — age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation)
  • Individual working in a geographical area with high levels of deprivation (by this we mean due to rural isolation or low socio-economic communities for example)
  • Individual who works primarily in the Welsh language, or who works for an organisation working predominantly in the Welsh language
  • Individual representing a diverse-led organisation (by this we mean an organisation which is led by and supports people from specific protected characteristic groups)

Supercool Bursaries

Supercool will provide 3 bursaries that are available to freelancers and those working for organisations across the cultural sector in the UK. 

You can apply for a Supercool bursary if you meet one or more of the following criteria.   

  • You are D/deaf, disabled, neurodivergent, or from an ethnically diverse background
  • You were made redundant due to the Coronavirus pandemic
  • You are an individual or organisation working within disability arts
  • You work in a diversity-focused role and/or for a diverse-led organisation

house will provide 5 bursaries to freelancers and people working for organisations across the cultural sector who are part of the house network. 

All applicants must work for a venue registered with house and meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • An individual working in a diverse-led organisation
  • A D/deaf, disabled or neurodivergent individual, or an individual from an ethnically or culturally diverse background
  • An organisation which is clearly committed to promoting the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion through its work
  • An individual working freelance in the cultural sector as your main source of income

Libraries Connected Bursaries

Libraries Connected are providing bursaries to people working in public libraries in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Crown Dependencies. 

Although not essential, they would welcome applicants who fit one or more of the following criteria:

  • Individual from a diverse background (including, but not limited to, the nine protected characteristics identified by the Equality Act 2010 — age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation)
  • Individual working in a geographical area with high levels of deprivation (by this we mean due to rural isolation or low socio-economic communities for example)
