Ben Jones Films

I aim to create thoughtful and engaging film work to support arts and cultural institutions in reaching their audience.

I work efficiently and sensitively whether it’s capturing behind the scenes, artist processes, performance, or working invisibly in the background at an event. I’m also skilled at putting subjects at ease who may not be familiar with the filming process. I work with all types of budgets and really enjoy how limitation can fuel the creative process.

Recently I have produced work for charities and organisations including The Charleston Trust, Apples and Snakes, The Martin Parr Foundation, Peoples Park for Nature, The Wealden Literary Festival, and Unicef. I’ve created music videos for music artists like This is the Kit and worked extensively with various record labels including Rough Trade Recordings, Tru Thoughts and Brownswood Records youth outreach program Future Bubblers.

My scope of work includes branded content, drama, documentary, short films, live music and events, children’s programming, stop frame animations, podcasts and extensive work with puppetry which has been featured on Cbeebies.

I’m so a Visiting Lecturer at UCA Farnham where I lead practical workshops on 16mm camerawork and lighting.

I love to discuss anything related to creating moving images so please get in touch!

Here are some examples of recent work.
