Forward : Freelancer Development Programme
Get through now, and get set for next
Forward is an online programme is designed for freelancers – with pricing tiers to suit your current income, a flexible schedule to work around your time, and a focus on support, development and community.
The programme is delivered entirely online and has 4 elements – 4 online workshops, plus underpinning support in the form of co-working, app and support sessions.
Pay what you can, based on your circumstances – between £7 and £56 inc VAT – for a programme that will help you:
- Develop a plan: for now and for your future work to ensure that your business remains alive and healthy
- Apply strategies: to support your business and mental wellbeing, to thrive as a freelancer in the new normal
- Manage the overwhelm: and focus on what you need to do for your business with confidence
Online Workshops – Training
All workshops will be available as recordings to participants who can’t attend live.
The four sessions are designed to get you on the strongest footing to take your freelance business forward.
Your purpose and pivot:
What’s do-able right now? Where are you relevant? What are the pivot strategies you could utilise and which ones inspire? Adapt your business and stay authentic to you.
Free yourself from imposter syndrome and blocks
Be confident in your worth, maintain a positive mindset, and communicate confidently with your clients.
Your vision and strategy
Do you need a short-term vision fix for now, or is a new vision and direction best? What is this vision? Take a strategic approach to design your future in a way that makes sense and gets you results as quickly as possible.
What is it? How are you going to make it connect with your audiences? Set yourself a plan to realise your goals, sell your proposition and maintain a healthy business.
Authentic You Café
A twice weekly, optional drop in session
This is an online facilitated space to release angst, share fears and ideas, support each other and develop new ways to cope.
Optional fortnightly 3-hour co-working sessions to help you focus and push through with your work.
At each facilitated session you will connect with fellow freelancers. Each person will share what they intend to work on during the session, to help motivate you to get the work done. You’ll stay online but focus on your own work in timed stints. In between, get to know your colleagues: think of it like an online office.
Make sure you don’t miss it, even if you can’t make it.
We know that not everyone will be able to attend every session so we are developing an app to go alongside this programme. We will upload all of the online training sessions and the app will give you an opportunity to connect with other freelancers, build a community and potentially find new partnerships.
The programme starts from July 7 and you can dip in and out as much as you like.
- Tuesdays in July: Online learning session 11-1
- Wednesdays in July: Authentic You Café 11-1
- Alternate Thursdays in July: Co-working Magic 1-4
- Fridays in July: Authentic You Café 3-5
Timings may be subject to change. Workshops will take place in August, and will be available as recordings if you’re unable to make the dates.
Provisional workshop dates are Wed 5 Aug, 11-1 and 3-5 and Thurs 6 Aug, 11-1 and 3-5.
We want to make this programme as accessible as possible, and have got Arts Council England funding which means we can heavily subsidise the course. As a sustainable business, and under the terms of our funding, we still need to make an small amount of income from this work. We’ve set out a range of prices and suggest you choose the right price for your circumstances.
Whatever you pay you will have access to the full programme.
