Managing a Team — difficult work conversations

This webinar will introduce you to the basics of conducting difficult work conversations. 

Line management is nuanced and requires skilled communication, listening ability, and an understanding of how people behave in given situations. This session will outline the ‘headlines’ you need to be aware of to improve your conversations with your team. 

This session will:

  • Help you define and identify what a ‘difficult conversation’ looks like to you 
  • Explore why you might need to orchestrate a difficult conversation 
  • Offer a basic introduction to the elements of initiating difficult conversations 
  • Provide a new perspective on dealing with difficult conversations 

The follow-on workshop Managing a Team — a holistic approach, takes a deeper, more practical look at this topic. It will provide you with the tools to manage these types of conversations. 

Who will benefit the most from this session?

Anyone in a line management position, who wants to improve their communication skills. Attendees should have a minimum of one direct report.
