Make your Website Accessible – the essentials

19 January, 2022 @ 11:00 am 12:00 pm

Live Webinar

This webinar explores website accessibility in a way that opens it up to everyone. It outlines how accessibility is not an add-on but an essential element of our work.

Nearly 1 in 5 people have a disability that makes it difficult for them to access websites. Do you want to ensure that you’re acknowledging and engaging all your website visitors and not excluding anyone? Do you feel you need to do more but don’t know where to start?

By using a role-based viewpoint, this session will explore accessibility from different angles, making the complex WCAG standards simple to understand.

This session will:

  • Explore how people with disabilities use websites in very different ways and the barriers they face
  • Examine UK website accessibility legislation and W3C Accessibility Guidelines and what they mean for our websites
  • Offer tips on actions you can implement instantly to make improvements to your website

For a more in-depth look at this topic, you may be interested in the follow-on workshop Make your Website Accessible  — a deep dive.

This webinar is suitable for everyone. From managers who want an overview of their team’s needs and responsibilities, to those working on websites who want to ensure good practice.
