Trainer Mel Larsen will help you define what a ‘diverse audience’ is for your organisation and how to identify and overcome typical organisational and audience barriers.

Mel Larsen has worked in the arts across the UK and abroad for over 30 years. As an independent audience development Consultant & Coach her clients have included Arts Council England, Australian Arts Council, CARIFORUM, The British Council, Still Art Sweden and MLA London. Her training, speaking and consultancy work has taken her to many different parts of the world including, Russia, South Africa, the Caribbean, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. She is also author of ‘A Guide to working with Arts Ambassadors’ published by Arts Council England and co-author of ‘Open Up: museums for everyone’ published by a collection of UK museums funders. She was founder & Director of three community-led festivals in South London, the Streatham Festival (for which she received a Lambeth Civic Award), the Streatham Food Festival and The Little Big Peace Event.
