We’ve collated some of the most frequently asked questions about AMA Conference to help you prepare for AMA Conference Leeds 2026. We will be updating this page as we get closer to Conference.
Booking
Which ticket type is right for me?
The Small Organisation, Freelance and Between Jobs member rates are open to anyone who has a Small Organisation Team membership, a Freelance membership or a Between Jobs membership with the AMA. These rates will be available up until Conference.
If you aren’t a member of the AMA, you need to purchase a Non-member rate. If you are interested in becoming a member to secure a discounted rate, you can find our membership options here: https://www.a-m-a.co.uk/membership/join/
These conditions also apply to Conference Online.
What’s included in my ticket?
If you have booked to attend the in-person Conference: your Conference ticket includes full access to the in-person event on 16 and 17 July 2026, including lunch and refreshments during both Conference days, and one evening social event on 16 July 2026. There will also be some optional evening socials on 15 July 2026 that will have limited availability, which will be open for you to book closer to the event. You will also receive a link to Conference Online, once the Conference has taken place, enabling you to watch recordings of some sessions you may have missed in-person until 28 August 2026.
If you have booked a for Conference Online: your Conference ticket will include access to all four keynote sessions live-streamed from the Conference venue, and two live-streamed session options within each time block, totalling 16 sessions. The sessions to be streamed will be selected by AMA and confirmed closer to the Conference. These sessions will be accessible live on the days of the Conference, and recordings will be available to watch until 28 August 2026.
Can I swap a member of my team on my ticket?
Yes, as long as you have a Team membership, or Small Organisation membership, you can swap your place to another team member. Please email sophie@a-m-a.co.uk to do this. If you have an individual membership, you can only swap your place to someone else in your organisation who also has an individual membership.
I can’t come to the Conference anymore, can I cancel my ticket?

Do I need to book sessions in advance?
You won’t need to book your session choices in advance. However, we may ask delegates to register their interest in our morning sessions, which take place before the morning Keynotes.
You will need to book the social event you would like to come to on the Thursday evening, along with an optional choice of networking events on Wednesday evening for those arriving early. We will likely get in touch about this in late May or early June. If you book your Conference place after this time, the link to book your socials will be in your confirmation email.

Where is the Conference taking place?
AMA Conference 2026 is taking place at the Leeds Playhouse:

There will also be a range of different social events taking place at different venues within the city, which we’ll share more information on closer to the Conference.
What time does the Conference take place?
AMA Conference 2026 will begin on the evening of Wednesday 15 July, with our opening night socials starting at 8:00pm.
The main Conference takes place across Thursday 16 and Friday 17 July, with a start time of 9:30am each day.
The Conference will close at 4:00pm on 17 July.
At the Conference
Accessibility
All the venues used throughout the Conference will be wheelchair accessible. Leeds Playhouse has wheelchair accessible lifts to all floors. There will be dedicated wheelchair spaces in each session space, and there are induction loops available in some of the spaces.

Sessions in the Quarry Theatre and Courtyard Theatre will be live-captioned. Sessions in the Bramall Rock Void and Barber Studio will be captioned using AI, which we are testing for the first time this year.

I have some dietary requirements – who do I need to talk to about them?
The majority of the food at AMA Conference 2026 will be vegetarian or vegan, so you don’t need to let us know about those requirements. Some of the food options will also be gluten free.
Will the sessions be recorded?
We will be recording 16 sessions taking place at the Conference, and will make these recordings available to both in-person and online delegates after the event. Recordings will be available to watch until eight weeks after the Conference, until 28 August.
What is the AMA doing about sustainability at the Conference?
Environmental sustainability is really important to us at the AMA, and we’re working hard to make meaningful and impactful changes. Some of the things we are doing to support this are:
- Leading with a low-carbon menu and using locally sourced produce
- Focusing our programme on UK-based speakers to limit international travel
- Continuing to offer a substantial online option to allow more people to engage with the Conference without generating additional travel emissions
Sustainability also forms an important part of our venue selection process.
