Burnt Letters — Queering Heritage

What is it about?

So often when looking to explore lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer history you will come across the answer ‘there isn’t any here’.

In this session we will discuss why this is a load of rubbish and talk about how you might fight back and champion queer stories in any heritage or arts institution; Big and small.

What will I gain?

— An understanding of how you can find hidden LGBTQ+ stories within your collection/organisation

— Frameworks on how to present LGBTQ+ stories respectfully

— Strategies to create stimulating and exciting ways to share the information you discover

Who is it for?

This session is suitable for all delegates.
