AMA was selected to deliver 5 x online training sessions for museum networks Museum Development East Mids (MDEM) and South East Museum Development Partnership (SEMDP). MDEM supports the improvement and sustainability of museums and heritage sites around the region, and SDEM exists to assist museums on their quest to become creative, dynamic, resilient and sustainable organisations.
The sessions were created by AMA in response to a brief from MDEM and SEMDP and cover the following:
Session 1: Strategic Marketing Planning
Session 2: Re-engaging with your Audiences
Session 3: Making the Most of your Social Media
Session 4: PR Demystified
Session 5: Understanding Google Analytics
The participants came from a range of different museums and a variety of roles – some marketing focused and some with marketing as just one facet of their role.
Lucy Jameson, Head of Programme at AMA said “It has been a fantastic cohort. They’ve all been engaged and taken part enthusiastically and brought great examples of the work they’re doing, as well as good questions.”
Trainers included Christina Lister(Museum Freelance), Martin Jefferies (English Heritage), Binita Walia (Freelancer) and Ciaran Rogers (Target Internet).
