The AMA was chosen to deliver the digital stage management of Culture Bridge North East’s “Imagine If…” conference, during 2-6 November 2020, after winning a tender for the work.
“Imagine If…” started from the standpoint of asking “Imagine if creative arts and cultural experiences gave children and young people the ability to share, understand and emerge from their experiences of the COVID-19 crisis”, and featured speakers from a range of organisations such as Theatre Hullabaloo, Tees Valley Creative Learning Partnership, and the LEGO Foundation. It featured 13 sessions over five days, and was attended by delegates from the cultural and education sectors across the North East.
Danielle Patrick, AMA’s Head of Projects and Events, worked with Culture Bridge North East to ensure the successful delivery of the conference. This included providing digital conference advice, running technical rehearsals with speakers, and leading on the smooth-running of the sessions throughout the conference week.
Dani said, “Working on the successful delivery of the ‘Imagine If…’ conference with the CBNE team was a great experience. The Digital Stage Manager role fitted brilliantly with the AMA’s skills and experience, and the purpose of CBNE fits closely with the AMA’s vision of a world where everyone has access to culture. I worked closely with the CBNE team in the weeks running up to the conference and got to know the speakers and staff across the event. I’m really pleased that the AMA could support the CBNE conference and be a small part of its success.”
