Tim began his career in Theatre in Education and later became a teacher.
Since 2006 he has been Chief Executive of the City of Caves and the National Justice Museum (formerly the Galleries of Justice Museum, and the National Centre for Citizenship and the Law).
Tim created the concept of Education Syndicates which aims to build learning capacity in public organisations and has set up a Public Legal Syndicate in London at the Royal Courts of Justice and the Rolls Building and in Manchester at the Crown Court.
One of his chief objectives is to champion diversity in both the legal and heritage profession through projects, exhibition and training opportunities.
He is a former Chair of East Midlands Museum Service (EMMS), a member of the Midlands Area Board of Arts Council England, member of the Nottingham Cultural Partnership and a Visiting Professor in Heritage Management at Nottingham Trent University.
