Sally Ann Lycett has been communicating the arts for over 25 years. As a PR in London and Edinburgh her clients included Tricycle Theatre, The Royal Court Theatre, Soho Theatre and the Bush Theatre, as well as the Perrier Comedy Award and one of the founder partners of the TMA Regional Theatre Awards. Since 2003 she has led on the communications of the Modernist De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill including its £8m refurbishment and re-opening in 2005. The Pavilion attracts over 400,000 visitors a year to its galleries, music and film programme, learning and participation activities, café, bar and shop.
Sally is now Director of External Relations at the Pavilion, a strategic role which includes managing the press, PR, marketing, website and social media for the Pavilion and its programme and well as a being a key partner in the Coastal Culture Trail. She has led a review of the Pavilion’s Learning and Participation Programme, a research study on the Pavilion’s Social Capital , its Audience Development and Engagement programme, and its Diversity and Equality Action Plan. In the past 12 months she has led on the DLWP re-branding and is about to launch DLWP’s new website and change the database and ticketing system.
Sally has come a long way since she first performed on the DLWP stage when she was 13. She operated the spotlight for the Christmas pantomimes and summer shows during her university holidays!
