AMA conference 2011 - Brave new world

During a time of rapid change – public expectations, new technological advances, shrinking arts funding etc – much time is spent trying to guess the impact these things may have.
This conference brought together 500+ arts professionals from across the UK and internationally to explore the key things that marketers need to focus on now to triumph in a brave new world.
Now is the time to start exploring the strategic options open to us. It's time to take stock of our marketing and audience development practice – what works? What has the biggest impact? What gives us the best return on our investment?

This year’s AMA conference opened with a montage of photographs that share the theme of different audiences engaging with the arts. It demonstrates the transformative effect of the arts on people and the vital role that marketing plays in communicating with audiences:

We had great pleasure to announce at last month's AMA conference in Glasgow that AMA conference 2012 will take place at the Brighton Dome from Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th July 2012. It will take place a couple of weeks earlier than usual in order to distance the dates from the start of the London 2012 Olympics.
