JAM 24 - ADUK - audience data
02/02/2007

Scottish Arts Council fund latest edition of the Journal of Arts Marketing (JAM) – published in partnership by Audience Data UK (ADUK) and the Arts Marketing Association (AMA)

Funded by the Scottish Arts Council, the latest issue of the Journal of Arts Marketing (JAM) due to hit the desks of arts professionals across the UK this week, has been published in partnership with Audience Data UK (ADUK) and the Arts Marketing Association.

The arts sector has a wealth of audience, visitor and participant data at its fingertips and ADUK aims to provide some joined-up thinking to help arts professionals make best use of that data and information. This edition of JAM is all about how arts professionals and organisations can join forces, share their data and work closely together to make the quest for arts attenders a successful one.

The officers within the arts councils of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales responsible for audience development have initiated the Audience Data UK project in order to be united in their commitment towards enabling the sector to make the most of its data, to monitor activity and to plan strategically … We all need to use data better – arts organisations and individuals, local authorities and other funding partners etc. A huge amount of progress has already been made and you can read about it in this issue of JAM but we can’t do it without you and our plea is that you join with your colleagues who have contributed thus far.

Fiona Sturgeon, Scottish Arts Council
with Phil Cave, Arts Council England, Ann Kellaway, the Arts Council of Wales and Graeme Stevenson Arts Council of Northern Ireland
