ACC Liverpool, 24 – 26 July 2018

AMA conference hits Liverpool from Tuesday 24 July to Thursday 26 July 2018 — join hundreds of other arts, culture and heritage professionals in this vibrant and exciting city for two and half days of exploration, learning and inspiration.

You’ll gain new ideas, a renewed energy for your work and gather great insights. There will be plenty of opportunities to network with like-minded people and make new connections.

AMA conference 2018 — The Power of Play

Play is a serious business. In a time of shrinking budgets and strange politics, arts organisations increasingly recognise that a creative response is critical to survival. Without creativity, innovation can’t happen. It’s those innovative strokes of genius that make us resilient and make audiences want to know us.

Play is about responding to challenge, replacing isolation with collaboration, embracing risk, and experimenting. If play became central to our work what would our organisations look like and what could we achieve?

At AMA conference 2018, we want to launch ourselves into the realm of exploration and ask ourselves, ‘can we afford not to put play first?’.

We are excited to be heading to Liverpool for AMA conference 2018 — a vibrant cultural city with loads to offer, whether you’re visiting for the first time or have been before. A well-connected city with 2 international airports, and the train only takes a little over 2 hours from London.

The conference venue is the ACC Liverpool, located on the iconic Liverpool waterfront next to the Albert Dock. With stunning views across the water and a top-class team, the ACC Liverpool has been voted Best UK Conference Venue for the past five years by their clients and the industry.

We’ll be exploring more locations in the city for delegates to visit for social events and networking.

Visit our accommodation booking page to snap-up your hotel for the conference, and benefit from special discounted rates for AMA conference delegates. If you need any assistance with your booking or have any special hotel requirements, please call +44 (0)151 600 2987 or email and one of the Convention Bureau team can help.

You can view a map on the website to see which hotels are closest to the conference venue. We’d suggest staying close-by if you can.
