What is it about?
Experience outfits worn by artists from Freddie Mercury and Dusty Springfield, to the Spice Girls and Adam Ant, and musical instruments played by some of the world’s most renowned artists from Noel Gallagher to the Sex Pistols.
The British Music Experience tells the story of British Music through costumes, instruments, performance and memorabilia. Really special exhibits include Adele’s hand-written song lyrics, the original statues from the Brits and the Apple Corp front door from Saville Row.
Along with viewing these iconic items from British music history, this interactive experience gives you the opportunity to get involved: learn a musical instrument with the best equipment available, get into ‘rock star’ mode by testing out the vocal booth, and – if you’re feeling confident – show off your moves in the ‘dance the decades’ pop routines studio.
Tuesday 24 July and Wednesday 25 July
5.00pm – 6.00pm
British Music Experience, Cunard Building, Pier Head
