Welcome to ticketing.org.uk

Ticketing.org.uk is the site of key resources for ticketing, marketing and new technologies, centred around communicating with customers and selling tickets for arts and entertainment organisations. This site is growing and expanding and you can help extend the range of information, so make your contribution. The site is UK focused but everyone is welcome to read, contribute and explore.

Commissioned by the ten management bodies of the arts and entertainment industry in the UK, funded by the Arts Council of England, hosted by the Arts Marketing Association, this site is designed to help people help themselves.



FULL HOUSE: Turning Data into Audiences

The Australia Council and Creative New Zealand have each published localised editions of an expanded and updated Boxing Clever. Originally published in 1993 by Arts Council England, Roger Tomlinson has re-written the manual for the 21st Century, with co-authors Tim Roberts (Australia) and Vicki Allpress (New Zealand) providing country specific case histories. Each has also written in-depth chapters on 'permission marketing' in the context of the privacy and data protection laws in each country.


Take a different view?

The ticketing industry looked very different in September 2005 from what it did only a few years before. It is likely that a short list of ticketing system suppliers selected today will be completely different from one chosen in 2003. The Internet and the ability to handle the full range of e-sales channels now dominates thinking.
