Tim Wood, Marketing Director at Rambert, is the new Chair of the AMA.
Tim has been an AMA board member for seven years and Vice Chair since 2012. He succeeds Jo Taylor, Senior Consultant at Morris Hargreaves McIntyre, who has stood down after five years as Chair. Jane Donald, Director of External Relations for Royal Scottish National Orchestra, succeeds Tim as Vice Chair.
These appointments follow a round of board elections among the AMA membership, which saw Abby Corfan, Director of Marketing & Digital for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra join the board of trustees, and Jo Taylor and Ben Jeffries, Director of Communications and Customer Services at Royal Lyceum Theatre, re-elected. Mel Larsen, Principal Consultant at Mel Larsen & Associates, has been co-opted to the board after working on the AMA’s 360-degree diversity strategy.
Tim Wood said:
“The AMA is a dynamic organisation with an ever more vital role to play in supporting the development of our profession. I’m looking forward to working with my board colleagues and supporting the brilliant AMA team to build on the success that we have enjoyed under Jo Taylor’s leadership. The AMA can and will help to ensure that arts and cultural organisations are equipped to thrive in the years ahead.”
Cath Hume, CEO of the AMA said:
“I am excited to be working with Tim, who will continue his already vast contribution to the AMA in his new role as Chair. Tim brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to the role and I am confident he will help the organisation go from strength to strength.”
