Looking back on the AMA digital marketing day …

SusanHalligan v2Susan Halligan is a Social Media Consultant based in New York. As the former Marketing Director of The New York Public Library, she established their first-ever marketing department and helped move the library from traditional communication to new media platforms. The Don’t Close the Book advocacy campaign was nominated by MarketingSherpa to the 2010 Viral and Social Media Hall of Fame and the library was awarded the 2010 PR News Non-Profit PR Award.

Susan visited London to speak at the AMA Digital Marketing Day 2011 and now she has returned home reflects on the day …

It was a great honour to be part of the Arts Marketing Association’s Digital Marketing Day at the beautiful Sadler’s Wells Theatre in Islington.

The day-long conference on 10th November, featured speakers like Neil Perkin, Founder, Only Dead Fish, Allegra Burnette, Creative Director of Digital Media, MoMA, Kinglsey Jayaskera, Director of Communications and Digital Strategy, Sadler’s Wells, Jesse Ringham, Digital Communications Manager, Tate, and attendees from a wide-range of arts and culturals including the Almeida Theatre, the Berlin Philharmonic, Caper, Glynebourne Opera, LSO, National Gallery, Park Circus, Southbank Centre … I could go on: an impressive group.
